Human Resources Coordinator Job in Buliisa, Uganda | ME Uganda

ME Uganda, a leading construction and engineering firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Buliisa. Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding for staff in Buliisa and surrounding project sites.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases in compliance with Ugandan labour laws.
• Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, leaves, new hires).
• Support the administration of employee benefits, compensation, and performance management systems.
• Act as a first point of contact for employee queries regarding HR policies and procedures.
• Organise and coordinate staff training sessions, workshops, and team-building activities.
• Prepare HR reports and presentations for management as required.
• Ensure all HR activities align with company policies and Ugandan employment regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan institution.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an HR generalist or coordination role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or oil & gas sector in Uganda.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan labour laws, including the Employment Act and NSSF regulations.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Must be willing to be based in Buliisa.
