Gender Equality Consultant - UNCT-SWAP Scorecard Assessment (45 Days, Kampala)

UNICEF Uganda is seeking a qualified Gender Equality Consultant to provide technical and coordination support for the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard assessment in Kampala. This 45-day consultancy offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to gender mainstreaming within the United Nations system in Uganda.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical expertise for the UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard assessment
• Coordinate with UN Country Team members and stakeholders
• Facilitate assessment workshops and data collection processes
• Analyse gender equality indicators and prepare comprehensive reports
• Develop actionable recommendations for improving gender mainstreaming
• Support capacity building of UN staff on gender equality principles

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences or related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in gender equality programming
• Demonstrated expertise in gender mainstreaming and assessment frameworks
• Previous experience with UNCT-SWAP Gender Equality Scorecard or similar tools
• Strong facilitation and coordination skills with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and report writing abilities
• Familiarity with Uganda's gender equality landscape and policies
