Job Responsibilities

As a Financial Advisor with Old Mutual Uganda, you will play a crucial role in providing expert financial guidance to our valued clients in the Jinja region and beyond. Your key duties will include:

• Conducting comprehensive financial consultations with individual and corporate clients
• Developing personalised financial plans and investment strategies
• Managing client investment portfolios and providing regular performance reviews
• Advising on and selling appropriate financial products including insurance, retirement plans, and investment funds
• Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
• Staying updated on Ugandan financial markets, regulations, and economic trends
• Meeting and exceeding sales targets while maintaining high ethical standards

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Financial Advisor, Investment Consultant, or similar role in Uganda
• Professional certification such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CFP (Certified Financial Planner) is highly preferred
• Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting targets in the Ugandan market
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid practising certificate from relevant Ugandan authorities
• Knowledge of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws
