Financial Accountant Job at National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda

The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda is seeking a dedicated and skilled Financial Accountant to join our team. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and statements in compliance with Ugandan accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and financial forecasting.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with NSSF policies, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) regulations, and other statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan or international university.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven work experience in accounting or finance, preferably within Uganda's financial services, pension, or corporate sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
