Watoto Childcare Ministries, a leading Christian non-profit organisation in Uganda, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer specialising in Budgeting and Reporting. Key Responsibilities
As a Finance Officer for Budgeting and Reporting, your primary duties will include:
- Developing, monitoring, and managing the organisation's annual budgets and forecasts.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management, donors, and stakeholders.
- Analysing financial data and performance against budgets, providing insights and recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and Ugandan statutory requirements.
- Supporting departmental heads with budget preparation and financial planning.
- Assisting in the preparation for annual audits and liaising with auditors.
- Maintaining and improving financial reporting systems and processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis, preferably within an NGO or similar sector in Uganda.
- High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
