Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Officer for Budgeting and Reporting, your primary duties will include:

• Developing, monitoring, and managing the organisation's annual budgets and forecasts.
• Preparing accurate and timely financial reports for management, donors, and stakeholders.
• Analysing financial data and performance against budgets, providing insights and recommendations.
• Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and Ugandan statutory requirements.
• Supporting departmental heads with budget preparation and financial planning.
• Assisting in the preparation for annual audits and liaising with auditors.
• Maintaining and improving financial reporting systems and processes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis, preferably within an NGO or similar sector in Uganda.
• High proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan financial regulations and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
