Finance Analyst Job at MTN Uganda in Kampala

In this critical role, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, providing essential insights that drive business performance and growth. You will work closely with various departments to ensure financial discipline and support MTN Uganda's ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with IFRS standards.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate business scenarios and support strategic decisions.
• Assist in cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Support the financial planning process and contribute to long-term business planning.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field from a recognised university.
• A full professional accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in financial analysis, planning, or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modelling and data analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
