About the Role

As a Finance Analyst at Diageo Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health and strategic decision-making of our operations. You will work closely with various departments to provide accurate financial insights that drive business performance in the Ugandan market.

Key Responsibilities

• Support comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting for Diageo Uganda operations
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide business strategy
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to explain financial performance against targets
• Prepare accurate management reports for stakeholders and leadership teams
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with accounting standards
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and regulatory requirements in Uganda
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights for business decisions

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field from a recognised institution
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or related field
• Proven experience in the manufacturing or FMCG sector within Uganda or East Africa
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex financial data clearly
• Knowledge of Ugandan accounting standards and tax regulations
