Educate!, a leading youth skills development organisation in East Africa, is seeking a dynamic and motivated External Relations Associate to be based in Kenya. Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support the development and management of strategic partnerships with donors, government agencies, NGOs, and private sector players across East Africa.
- Assist in preparing high-quality reports, proposals, and communication materials for external stakeholders.
- Help organise and coordinate partnership meetings, events, and stakeholder engagements.
- Conduct research and analysis on potential partners and funding opportunities relevant to the East African context.
- Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and contribute to relationship management systems.
- Support the external relations team in achieving partnership and funding goals.
- Collaborate with programme teams in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and other regional offices to align partnership activities with organisational objectives.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in partnership management, external relations, fundraising, or a similar role, preferably within the East African NGO sector.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Kiswahili is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to draft compelling reports, proposals, and official correspondence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with the development landscape and key actors in East Africa.
- Must be legally authorised to work in Kenya.
