Dispenser Job in Mbale - Pharmacy Technician at C-Care Uganda

Job Summary:
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your professional service and clear communication will ensure patients receive proper counselling, leading to improved treatment adherence and health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all dispensed items in line with pharmacy regulations.
• Provide clear and empathetic counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Manage inventory of drugs and supplies, assisting with stock-taking and ordering.
• Collaborate with other hospital units (clinics, wards) to ensure timely supply of medications.
• Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, hygiene, and patient confidentiality.
• Participate in other pharmacy-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a Ugandan institution.
• Valid practising licence from the Allied Health Professionals Council.
• Prior experience as a Dispenser or Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or clinic setting is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
