Job Summary
As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting dentists and dental surgeons to deliver exceptional patient care. You will ensure smooth clinical operations, maintain the highest standards of infection control, and contribute to positive patient experiences in our Lira facility.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the dental surgeon during various clinical procedures and treatments.
- Prepare and organise dental treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilised and ready for use.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control standards according to Ministry of Health guidelines.
- Provide chair-side assistance, passing instruments, and preparing materials as required.
- Manage patient records, appointments, and follow-up schedules.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Ensure the dental surgery is clean, well-stocked, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Provide compassionate care and support to patients, addressing their concerns.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognised institution; a certificate in Dental Nursing is a strong advantage.
- Must be registered with the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council (UNMC) with a valid practising licence.
- Proven experience working as a nurse, preferably in a dental or clinical setting.
- Strong understanding of sterilisation techniques and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
