Brand and Communications Manager Job at Hima Cement in Kampala

Hima Cement Limited, a leading building materials company in Uganda, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Brand and Communications Manager to join their team in Kampala. This is a senior-level opportunity for a marketing professional to shape and protect the reputation of one of Uganda's most trusted cement brands.

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies and communication plans that resonate with the Ugandan market. You will lead all external and internal communications, manage media relations, and oversee digital marketing efforts to strengthen Hima Cement's market position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement an integrated brand and communications strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Manage the company's public image and media relations, building strong relationships with Ugandan journalists and influencers.
• Lead content creation for all channels, including press releases, social media, website, and marketing collateral.
• Oversee corporate social responsibility (CSR) communications and community engagement initiatives.
• Manage brand budgets effectively and measure the ROI of communication campaigns.
• Counsel senior management on communication issues and potential reputational risks.
• Lead and mentor a team of communication professionals.

Requirements for the Role:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field. A Master's degree is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in brand management, corporate communications, or public relations, preferably within the manufacturing, FMCG, or construction sector in Uganda.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong network with Ugandan media houses and a proven track record in crisis communication.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
