Area Sales Manager Job at Coca-Cola Beverages Africa

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), a leading beverage manufacturer and distributor, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager to join our team in Kampala, Uganda. This is a senior-level opportunity for a sales professional to lead our field sales operations and drive market growth across the Central Region. Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve volume, revenue, and market share targets for the assigned area in Kampala and the Central Region.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales representatives and merchandisers to ensure excellent execution in the market.
  • Build and maintain strong, profitable relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and retail outlets.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and address challenges proactively.
  • Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and promotion in all trade channels within your area.
  • Monitor competitor activity and develop effective counter-strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Manage the area sales budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade terms, and health & safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 2 years in a sales management or supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing a sales team and distributor network in Uganda.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with sales reporting systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence and be willing to travel extensively within the area.
