Technical Officer - Capacity Building and Sustainability Reporting Job in Kampala, Uganda

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technical Officer for Capacity Building and Sustainability Reporting. This is a critical role within the Government of Uganda, focused on enhancing institutional capacity and ensuring the long-term sustainability of key national programmes. You will be at the forefront of designing and implementing strategies that build local expertise and report on development impact.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement comprehensive capacity-building strategies and training programmes for government staff and stakeholders.
* Lead the design and production of high-quality sustainability reports for major government projects and donor-funded initiatives.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity-building interventions, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
* Collaborate with various government departments, development partners, and civil society to align capacity-building efforts with national development goals.
* Prepare detailed technical reports, briefing papers, and presentations for senior management and development partners.
* Ensure all reporting adheres to international standards and meets the requirements of key stakeholders and financiers.

Requirements & Qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
* Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in capacity building, training, monitoring & evaluation, or sustainability reporting, preferably within the public sector or with development organisations in Uganda.
* Strong understanding of Uganda's national development planning framework, including the National Development Plan (NDP III).
* Excellent analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data analysis software.
* High level of integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to public service.
