Talent Acquisition Specialist Job in Kampala - Compassion International

Compassion International Uganda is seeking a skilled and dedicated Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Kampala. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce by managing the full recruitment lifecycle for our Uganda country office.

In this role, you will partner directly with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective sourcing strategies to attract top talent. You will be responsible for promoting Compassion's strong employer brand within the Ugandan job market and ensuring a positive, professional experience for every candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for various positions within the Uganda office.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and create compelling job descriptions.
- Develop and execute multi-channel sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, professional networks, and local recruitment channels.
- Screen applications, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate the full interview process with panels.
- Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
- Conduct professional reference and background checks in compliance with Ugandan labour laws.
- Maintain accurate recruitment data, track key metrics (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire), and prepare reports.
- Support the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Contribute to talent acquisition projects and initiatives aimed at improving recruitment processes.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR within Uganda.
- Strong knowledge of Ugandan employment laws and best recruitment practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and social media sourcing.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
