The Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This senior-level position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to Uganda's agricultural transformation through strategic risk management.
As a Risk Manager at PIBID, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our organisation's assets and ensuring sustainable growth in Uganda's banana industry. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across our operations while developing robust risk management frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies and policies
• Conduct regular risk assessments across all PIBID operations and projects
• Identify potential threats to organisational assets and business continuity
• Design and monitor risk control systems and mitigation measures
• Prepare risk reports and present findings to senior management
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Train staff on risk awareness and management protocols
• Monitor emerging risks in Uganda's agricultural and industrial sectors
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in agricultural or industrial sectors
• Professional certification in risk management (e.g., CRM, FRM) is an advantage
• Strong understanding of Ugandan business environment and regulatory framework
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven experience in developing risk management frameworks
