Job Description
The Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is seeking a qualified and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team in Lubowa Estates, Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional to contribute to Uganda's leading clinical research organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and compliance programmes
• Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits across all departments
• Ensure adherence to Ugandan healthcare regulations and international research standards
• Monitor compliance with data protection laws and ethical guidelines
• Prepare detailed compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies
• Train staff on risk management protocols and compliance requirements
• Investigate compliance issues and implement corrective actions
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification in risk management or compliance (added advantage)
• Minimum 3 years experience in risk and compliance role within healthcare or research sector
• Thorough understanding of Ugandan healthcare regulations and compliance standards
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and report writing abilities
• Knowledge of international clinical research compliance standards
