The Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI), in partnership with the Wellcome Trust, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Entebbe. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research projects that address critical public health challenges in Uganda and across East Africa.

As a Project Manager at UVRI, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating research activities, managing project timelines, and ensuring the successful implementation of vital health initiatives. Your work will directly impact Uganda's healthcare landscape and contribute to global health security.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and timelines
• Coordinate multidisciplinary research teams and stakeholders
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
• Prepare detailed project reports for funding bodies and stakeholders
• Facilitate communication between research teams, partners, and donors
• Ensure compliance with UVRI protocols and international research standards
• Manage project resources efficiently and effectively

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Public Health, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in research or health sector
• Proven experience with donor-funded projects (Wellcome Trust experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of research project lifecycle management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
