Job Description
Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to join our Project Coordination Unit (PCU) in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Competitive and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP), funded by the World Bank, aimed at enhancing enterprise competitiveness in Uganda.
About the Project:
The Government of Uganda received additional financing from the World Bank to scale up the Competitive and Enterprise Development Project. The project focuses on improving investment climate and supporting MSMEs through reforms in priority sectors. PSFU serves as the coordinating agency for this important national initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical engineering expertise to project implementation
• Coordinate project activities under the Land and Tourism components
• Ensure effective project planning and execution
• Monitor project progress and provide technical reports
• Collaborate with eight implementing agencies
• Support the scaling up of project activities
• Ensure compliance with project objectives and timelines
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Proven experience in project engineering
• Understanding of World Bank projects is an advantage
• Strong project management skills
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of Uganda's enterprise development landscape
