Alternative Fuels Engineer Job at Hima Cement Limited - Kampala

Hima Cement Limited, one of Uganda's leading cement manufacturers, is seeking a qualified Alternative Fuels Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to sustainable manufacturing practices in Uganda's growing construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement alternative fuel strategies for cement production
- Research and evaluate sustainable fuel sources available in Uganda
- Optimize fuel blending processes to reduce environmental impact
- Ensure compliance with Ugandan environmental regulations
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain operational efficiency
- Monitor and report on fuel performance metrics
- Identify local sources of alternative fuels within Uganda

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in fuel engineering or sustainable energy
- Knowledge of Ugandan environmental regulations and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred
- Understanding of East African energy landscape
