Programme Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer - Ministry of Finance Kampala

The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is seeking a qualified Programme Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our Private Sector Development Unit (PSDU) in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Uganda's economic development through effective programme management and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks for private sector development programmes
• Conduct regular programme assessments and impact evaluations
• Prepare comprehensive reports on programme performance and outcomes
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with national development goals
• Develop planning documents and strategic implementation plans
• Monitor programme budgets and resource allocation
• Provide technical guidance on M&E systems and tools

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies or related field
• Minimum 3 years experience in monitoring and evaluation roles
• Strong analytical and report writing skills
• Proficiency in data analysis software and M&E tools
• Knowledge of Uganda's development landscape and private sector
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
