Job Description
The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development is seeking a qualified Programme Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks for government programmes
- Conduct regular programme assessments and performance tracking
- Prepare detailed reports on programme progress and impact assessments
- Coordinate with various government departments and development partners
- Provide technical guidance on planning, monitoring and evaluation methodologies
- Analyse programme data and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency
- Ensure alignment of programmes with national development objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Development Studies, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in programme planning, monitoring and evaluation
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Knowledge of government planning processes in Uganda
- Experience working with development partners and donor agencies
