Job Description
The Ministry of Finance, Planning & Economic Development Uganda is seeking a qualified Statistician U4 to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity for statistics professionals to contribute to national development through data analysis and economic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyse statistical data for economic planning
- Prepare comprehensive statistical reports and presentations
- Support ministry departments with data-driven insights
- Ensure data quality and integrity in all statistical outputs
- Collaborate with Uganda Bureau of Statistics and other government agencies
- Contribute to national development planning processes
- Maintain accurate statistical databases and records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, or related field from recognised institution
- Minimum of 3 years experience in statistical analysis
- Proficiency in statistical software (SPSS, STATA, R, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
- Knowledge of Uganda's economic landscape and development priorities
- Uganda citizenship with valid national ID
