Program Support Specialist NGO Job in Kampala - Compassion International

Compassion International Uganda is seeking a dedicated and organised Program Support Specialist to join our team in Kampala. This is an excellent opportunity for a development professional to support our life-changing child development programmes across Uganda.

In this vital role, you will provide crucial support to our programme team in implementing and monitoring our holistic child development model. You will work directly with our local church partners, ensuring programmes run effectively and in compliance with our high standards. This position is ideal for someone passionate about community transformation and child protection.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support the implementation and monitoring of child sponsorship and development programmes.
• Assist with data collection, management, and the preparation of accurate reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date programme records and documentation.
• Facilitate clear communication and provide ongoing support to our partner churches in the Central Region and beyond.
• Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities to assess programme impact and effectiveness.
• Help ensure strict compliance with Compassion International's programme standards and child protection policies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in community development or programme support within an NGO setting.
• Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and at least one local language (e.g., Luganda).
• A demonstrated commitment to child protection, safety, and welfare.
