Pharmacy Dispenser Job in Kololo, Kampala - C-Care Uganda

Job Summary
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your professional demeanor and excellent communication skills will ensure patients receive proper counselling, improving their treatment adherence and overall health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
• Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed drugs and medical supplies according to standard procedures.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and records of all dispensed medications.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and accurate counselling to patients on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Ensure proper storage and inventory management of pharmaceuticals in the dispensary.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to all national pharmacy regulations and C-Care Uganda's quality standards.
• Handle patient queries with professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications
• A recognised Diploma in Pharmacy or a related field from a recognised institution.
• Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council of Uganda.
• Proven experience working as a dispenser or in a similar pharmacy role is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of empathy.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
• Integrity and a strong commitment to patient safety and ethical practice.
• Familiarity with pharmacy software and inventory systems is beneficial.
