Job Description
PATH Uganda is seeking an experienced Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our dynamic team in Kampala. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled M&E professional to contribute to impactful health programmes across Uganda.
As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with PATH Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities for our health programmes. You will be at the forefront of ensuring programme effectiveness and data-driven decision making.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement comprehensive M&E frameworks and systems for health programmes
• Collect, verify, and analyse programme data using advanced statistical methods
• Prepare regular M&E reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Support programme teams in utilising data for strategic decision-making
• Conduct thorough data quality assessments and ensure data integrity
• Build capacity of local partners in monitoring and evaluation best practices
• Maintain secure M&E databases and ensure data protection compliance
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation
• Strong data analysis skills using statistical software (SPSS, STATA, or similar)
• Proven experience with health programmes in the Ugandan context
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
