Job Description
Catholic Relief Services (CRS) Uganda is seeking a dedicated Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Project Officer to join our team in Mubende. This is an exciting opportunity for development professionals passionate about making a difference in Ugandan communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement MEAL systems for development projects in Central Uganda
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits and data collection in Mubende district
• Prepare comprehensive MEAL reports for project stakeholders and donors
• Build capacity of local partners in MEAL methodologies and tools
• Ensure accountability mechanisms are functional and accessible to communities
• Facilitate learning sessions to improve project implementation
• Coordinate with district local government and community structures
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field
• Minimum 3 years of MEAL experience in NGO sector in Uganda
• Proficiency in data analysis software (SPSS, STATA, or similar)
• Strong understanding of Uganda's development context
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages
• Experience working with district local governments in Uganda
