MEAL Project Officer Job at CRS in Mubende, Uganda

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is seeking a dedicated Project Officer for Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) to join our team in Mubende, Uganda. This is an exciting opportunity for development professionals passionate about making a meaningful impact in Ugandan communities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement MEAL systems for development projects in Central Uganda
• Conduct regular field monitoring visits and data collection in Mubende district
• Prepare comprehensive monitoring reports and progress updates
• Facilitate learning sessions with project staff and community stakeholders
• Ensure accountability mechanisms are functional and accessible to beneficiaries
• Support data quality assessments and verification exercises
• Build capacity of local partners in MEAL methodologies and tools

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEAL roles with NGOs in Uganda
• Strong knowledge of data collection tools and analysis software (SPSS, Excel)
• Experience working in Central Uganda region preferred
• Excellent communication skills in English and local languages
• Understanding of Uganda's development context and challenges
