Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line and second-line technical support to staff members across the Jinja office and branch network.


• Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely solutions to minimise downtime.


• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.


• Set up equipment for new employees and provide basic IT training to staff when necessary.


• Maintain accurate records of IT inventory, support requests, and resolutions.


• Collaborate with the wider IT team in Kampala to implement network and system improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognised institution.


• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in an IT support role, preferably within the Ugandan corporate sector.


• Strong practical knowledge of computer networking, hardware troubleshooting, and common office software.


• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.


• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach to support.


• Familiarity with financial sector IT systems will be an added advantage.
