About the IT Graduate Trainee Role
As an IT Graduate Trainee at Kijani Forestry, you will be immersed in our technology operations, supporting our mission through practical IT solutions. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals, learning the ropes of IT management within a dynamic and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities & Learning Areas:
- Provide first-line technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems and applications.
- Support the management of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers and workstations.
- Help with data management, backups, and basic cybersecurity measures.
- Participate in IT projects and contribute to improving digital processes.
- Learn to troubleshoot and resolve common technical problems efficiently.
- Document IT procedures and maintain an inventory of equipment.
What We Are Looking For (Requirements):
- A recent Bachelor's degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a recognised Ugandan institution.
- Strong foundational knowledge of computer systems, networks, and common software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- A proactive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Gulu, Northern Uganda.
