Humanitarian and Development Jobs in Uganda at ACTED NGO

ACTED (Agency for Technical Cooperation and Development) has been operational in Uganda since 2007, responding to emergencies and implementing long-term development programmes. Our work spans multiple sectors, including water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), food security, livelihood support, and disaster risk reduction.

Key Responsibilities for Various Roles:

• Implement and monitor field projects in coordination with local communities and authorities.
• Contribute to needs assessments, project planning, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with ACTED's procedures and donor requirements.
• Support capacity building for local partners and community groups.
• Manage project resources efficiently and transparently.

Candidate Requirements:

• Relevant university degree in development studies, social sciences, agriculture, engineering, or related field.
• Previous experience in humanitarian or development work, preferably in Uganda or East Africa.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Luganda, Acholi, Runyankole) is a major asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to write clear reports.
• Commitment to humanitarian principles and ACTED's code of conduct.
