Educate!, a leading youth skills development organisation in East Africa, is seeking a dedicated Human Resource Business Partner to join our team in Tanzania. This is a strategic role where you will partner with leadership to drive HR initiatives that support our mission of transforming education and empowering youth.

Key Responsibilities



  • Act as a strategic HR partner to programme and department leaders, providing expert guidance on all people-related matters.

  • Lead talent management processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning for assigned client groups.

  • Manage employee relations, ensuring compliance with Tanzanian labour laws and fostering a positive, inclusive work culture.

  • Analyse HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improving team effectiveness and employee engagement.

  • Support the design and implementation of HR policies, programmes, and initiatives that align with organisational goals.

  • Collaborate with the broader HR team on projects such as compensation reviews, learning & development, and organisational design.

Requirements & Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner, preferably in the NGO, education, or development sector.

  • In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian employment law and best practices in HR management.

  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills with the ability to build trust at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.

  • Fluency in English and Swahili is required.
