Health Systems Strengthening Advisor Job in Mbarara, Uganda

World Vision International is seeking an experienced Health Systems Strengthening Advisor to join our team in Mbarara, Uganda. This senior role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to strengthening Uganda's healthcare system and improving health outcomes for communities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership in health systems strengthening at district and facility levels
• Offer technical assistance and support to district health teams across Uganda
• Develop and implement comprehensive health system strengthening strategies
• Build capacity of health workers through training and mentorship programmes
• Coordinate effectively with Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders
• Monitor and evaluate health system performance using established indicators
• Document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories
• Support the implementation of national health policies and guidelines

Requirements:
• Master's degree in Public Health, Health Systems, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in health systems strengthening
• Strong understanding of Uganda's health system structure and policies
• Proven experience working with government health systems in Uganda
• Excellent facilitation, training, and capacity building skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary settings
• Strong analytical, monitoring, and evaluation capabilities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
