Health Advisor - MNCH and Malaria Specialist in Mbale
Job Description
Baylor Uganda is seeking an experienced Health Advisor for Integrated Health Care Delivery focusing on Maternal, Newborn, Child Health (MNCH) and Malaria programmes. This senior technical role based in Mbale offers an exciting opportunity to lead transformative health initiatives across Eastern Uganda.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership and strategic guidance on integrated MNCH and malaria programmes
• Strengthen service delivery systems at national, regional, district, and community levels
• Build capacity of health workers and community health structures
• Develop and implement innovative approaches to improve maternal and child health outcomes
• Coordinate with government health facilities and partner organisations
• Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness and impact
• Provide mentorship and technical support to district health teams
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in MNCH and malaria programming in Uganda
• Proven experience working with district health systems and community structures
• Strong understanding of Uganda's health system and MNCH policies
• Excellent leadership and capacity building skills
• Experience in Eastern Uganda health context preferred
