Job Responsibilities

As a Finance Officer at Old Mutual Uganda, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting business growth. Your key duties will include:

• Managing day-to-day financial transactions and accounting records
• Preparing accurate financial reports and statements in compliance with Ugandan accounting standards
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Processing payroll and ensuring timely salary payments
• Conducting financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements in Uganda
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts
• Supporting internal and external audit processes
• Utilising accounting software to streamline financial operations

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this Finance Officer position in Uganda, you should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce from a recognised university
• Full professional qualification (CPA or ACCA)
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
• Proven experience with accounting software and financial management systems
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan accounting standards and tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
