Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA), a leading beverage manufacturer and distributor in Uganda, is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our dynamic team at the Jinja facility. About the Role

As a Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial integrity and reporting for our Jinja operations. You will be responsible for a range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a passion for contributing to a successful business in Uganda's vibrant market.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, statements, and management accounts.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and analysis of departmental budgets.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
• Provide essential support for the month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
• Maintain organised and accurate financial records and documentation in compliance with company policy.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, and Ugandan tax regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognised institution.
• A professional accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA is a strong advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within the manufacturing, FMCG, or a corporate environment in Uganda.
• High proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of Ugandan tax laws and financial regulations is mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
