External Relations Associate Job in Uganda - Educate! NGO Careers

Educate!, a leading youth skills development organisation in East Africa, is seeking a dynamic External Relations Associate to join our team in Uganda. This is a senior-level opportunity for a professional passionate about building strategic partnerships, managing donor relations, and amplifying our impact across Uganda and the region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive external relations and partnership strategy for Uganda.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including government ministries, donors, corporate partners, and other NGOs.
- Lead the development of high-quality funding proposals, reports, and communication materials for diverse audiences.
- Represent Educate! at national forums, workshops, and networking events to enhance our visibility and influence.
- Collaborate closely with the programme implementation team to align external messaging with on-ground impact and success stories.
- Monitor the partnership landscape in Uganda's education and youth development sector to identify new opportunities.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in external relations, partnership management, or business development within the NGO or development sector in Uganda.
- Strong track record of securing and managing partnerships with institutional donors, corporates, or government agencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Deep understanding of the Ugandan social sector, education landscape, and youth challenges.
- Strategic thinker with strong networking, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
