Electrical Technician Job at Grainpulse Ltd - Uganda

Grainpulse Ltd, Uganda's leading integrated agribusiness company, is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to join our dynamic team. As a first-of-its-kind agribusiness enterprise, we specialise in agro inputs, animal feed, grain and coffee sourcing, processing, and trading while providing essential agronomy and advisory services to both smallholder and commercial farmers across Uganda.

We are looking for a qualified Electrical Technician who can maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment within our agricultural processing facilities. Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in agricultural processing equipment
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan electrical safety standards and regulations
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise equipment performance
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities
• Provide technical support for electrical systems across our facilities

Requirements:
• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in manufacturing or agricultural processing
• Valid practicing license from Uganda's Engineers Registration Board
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, and control panels
• Experience with agricultural processing equipment is an advantage
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and in team environments
