Job Summary
As a Dispenser at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy operations. You will be responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, and dispensing of medications and medical supplies to both hospital units and direct clients. Your work will directly impact patient treatment outcomes through proper counselling and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
- Maintain proper documentation of all pharmaceutical transactions
- Manage drug inventory and supplies for various hospital units
- Provide clear medication counselling to patients to improve treatment adherence
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care
- Maintain a clean, organised, and professional pharmacy environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution
- Valid practising licence from the Allied Health Professionals Council
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting
- Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products and their applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanour with empathy for patients
- Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Computer literacy for documentation and inventory management
