About the Role

As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental surgeons and ensuring patients receive exceptional care. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of clinical assistance and infection control while creating a comfortable environment for our patients in Gulu.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the dental surgeon during various clinical procedures and treatments


• Prepare and maintain dental treatment rooms, ensuring all equipment is sterilised and ready for use


• Maintain strict infection control standards and follow all health and safety protocols


• Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, anticipating the needs of the dental surgeon


• Manage dental instruments, materials, and equipment inventory


• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care


• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with appointment scheduling


• Ensure a positive patient experience through professional and compassionate care


• Follow C-Care Uganda's clinical protocols and quality standards

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma in Dental Nursing from a recognised institution in Uganda


• Valid practicing license from the Allied Health Professionals Council


• Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a dental nurse in a clinical setting


• Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials


• Excellent understanding of infection control and sterilisation protocols


• Good communication skills and patient-centred approach


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment


• Willingness to work in Gulu, Northern Uganda
