About the Role
As a Dental Nurse at C-Care Uganda, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental surgeons and ensuring exceptional patient care. You will work in a modern dental facility, assisting with various clinical procedures while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient comfort.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assist the dental surgeon during examination and treatment procedures
- Prepare and organise dental treatment rooms before patient appointments
- Sterilise and maintain dental instruments according to infection control protocols
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures including extractions, fillings, and cleanings
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Manage dental supplies and ensure adequate stock levels
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the dental unit
- Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for all patients
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Dental Nursing from a recognised institution in Uganda
- Valid practising licence from the Allied Health Professionals Council
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a dental nurse in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent understanding of infection prevention and control measures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Computer literacy for maintaining digital patient records
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
