Are you a dedicated child protection professional passionate about safeguarding children in Uganda? World Vision International is seeking a qualified and experienced Child Protection Coordinator to join our team in Fort Portal, Uganda. This is a critical role where you will lead efforts to create a protective environment for children in the region.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and oversee all child protection programmes for World Vision Uganda in the assigned Fort Portal region.
- Implement and monitor child protection policies, standards, and case management systems.
- Design and manage community-based interventions to prevent and respond to child abuse, exploitation, and neglect.
- Build the capacity of staff, local partners, community volunteers, and child protection committees.
- Strengthen referral pathways and coordinate with government bodies, police, and other NGOs on child protection cases.
- Lead advocacy initiatives to promote children's rights and influence local child protection policies.
- Prepare reports, manage programme budgets, and ensure all activities meet both national and international child protection standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in child protection programming within an NGO or humanitarian setting in Uganda.
- Strong practical experience in case management, community mobilisation, and psychosocial support.
- In-depth knowledge of Ugandan child protection laws, the Children Act, and international frameworks.
- Excellent coordination, training, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to speak local languages used in the Fort Portal region is highly desirable.
