Jumia Group, Africa's leading e-commerce platform, is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Commercial Officer to lead our commercial operations in Uganda. This is a senior executive role for a visionary leader ready to drive growth and market leadership in Uganda's dynamic digital economy.

As the Chief Commercial Officer for Jumia Uganda, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive commercial strategies to accelerate our marketplace growth, enhance customer acquisition and retention, and maximise revenue across all business verticals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement Uganda's commercial strategy aligned with Jumia Group's vision
• Lead and mentor the commercial team across sales, marketing, and business development functions
• Drive marketplace growth by expanding seller base and product assortment
• Analyse market trends and consumer behaviour to identify new opportunities
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in Uganda
• Oversee pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and revenue optimisation
• Collaborate with logistics, payments, and technology teams to enhance customer experience
• Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance reports to regional leadership

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum 10 years of commercial leadership experience in Uganda or East Africa
• Proven track record in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, or technology sectors
• Strong understanding of Uganda's digital landscape and consumer market
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
• Data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities
• Experience managing P&L and driving revenue growth
