Kijani Forestry, a leader in sustainable forestry and agroforestry in Uganda, is seeking a dedicated Systems and Research Associate to join our team in Gulu. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise data collection systems for forestry and agroforestry projects.
• Conduct field research and analyse data to support project planning and monitoring.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with field teams and community partners to ensure accurate data capture.
• Assist in developing research methodologies and data management protocols.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Statistics, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data management, research, or systems administration.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SPSS, R).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of local languages (Acholi, Luo) is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel to field sites within the Northern region.
