Job Description
The Presidential Initiative on Banana Industrial Development (PIBID) is seeking qualified professionals for multiple senior positions in engineering and risk management. Available Positions:
• Registered Engineer
• Senior Engineer
• Risk Officer
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and maintain industrial processing systems for banana value addition
• Develop and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan engineering standards and regulations
• Manage project budgets and timelines effectively
• Supervise technical teams and provide professional guidance
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management or related field
• Valid registration with Uganda Engineers Registration Board (for engineering positions)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial engineering or risk management
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan industrial regulations and standards
• Excellent project management and leadership skills
• Experience in agricultural processing industries (added advantage)
