Senior Driver Job in Uganda - ISP Organisation

ISP Organisation is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Senior Driver to join our team in Uganda. This is a senior-level position requiring extensive driving experience, excellent knowledge of Ugandan roads, and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.

As a Senior Driver with ISP, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by ensuring the safe and timely transportation of personnel and materials. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for an experienced driver looking to take on greater responsibility within a respected organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain organisation vehicles for daily transport needs.


• Transport personnel, equipment, and materials to various locations across Uganda.


• Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.


• Plan efficient routes considering Ugandan road conditions and traffic patterns.


• Adhere strictly to all Ugandan traffic laws and organisation safety protocols.


• Maintain accurate logbooks and trip records.


• Coordinate vehicle servicing and minor maintenance as required.


• Assist with basic logistical support as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Valid Ugandan Driving Permit (Class B, DL, or above) with a clean driving record.


• Minimum of 5-7 years of professional driving experience, preferably with an NGO or similar organisation.


• Excellent knowledge of Ugandan roads, routes, and regional geography.


• Proven experience in defensive driving and vehicle maintenance.


• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.


• High level of integrity, punctuality, and responsibility.


• Ability to work flexible hours and undertake occasional long-distance travel.


• Certificate in Defensive Driving or similar training is preferred.
