Key Responsibilities & Duties

As the Senior Manager for Business Development, you will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts. Your core duties will include:

• Developing and executing comprehensive business development and growth strategies for the Ugandan market.


• Identifying, evaluating, and capitalising on new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.


• Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and stakeholders.


• Leading, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing business development and sales team to exceed targets.


• Conducting thorough market analysis to understand trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within Uganda's financial sector.


• Driving revenue growth and achieving ambitious sales and profitability targets.


• Representing Old Mutual at industry events, forums, and networking opportunities.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this senior management role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree will be an added advantage.


• At least 8 years of proven experience in business development, sales management, or a strategic leadership role, preferably within financial services.


• In-depth knowledge of the Ugandan financial services market, including regulatory frameworks and competitive landscape.


• Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful teams.


• Strong strategic thinking, negotiation, and communication skills.


• A robust network of contacts within the Ugandan business community.
