TechnoServe Uganda is seeking a dedicated Business Sustainability & Upgrading Specialist-Processors to join our dynamic team in Kampala. Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement sustainability strategies for agricultural processors
• Provide technical assistance and capacity building to local processing businesses
• Design and manage business upgrading programmes for improved competitiveness
• Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities for processors
• Facilitate linkages between processors, markets, and financial institutions
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact on local businesses and communities
• Develop training materials and conduct workshops for processor clients
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in business development, agricultural processing, or sustainability
• Proven experience working with SMEs in Uganda's agricultural sector
• Strong understanding of Ugandan market dynamics and business environment
• Excellent communication and training skills in English (local languages a plus)
• Experience with donor-funded projects and reporting requirements
