We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Associate to join our dedicated finance team in Uganda. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work while developing your professional skills in a supportive Christian environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and receivable with accuracy
• Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliations
• Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan accounting standards and organisational policies
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with programme teams on financial matters
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA) preferred
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in Uganda
• Strong knowledge of Ugandan accounting standards and tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality
• Fluency in English; local languages an advantage
