Security Officer Job in Kampala at Pearl Bank Uganda

This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our staff, customers, assets, and premises. Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Monitor and patrol bank premises, including the banking hall, offices, and perimeter, to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or security breaches.
• Control access points, verifying the identification of individuals entering secure areas in accordance with bank policy.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and other electronic equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, taking appropriate action as per established protocols.
• Prepare detailed and accurate daily incident reports and maintain security logs.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients and staff in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all bank security policies, procedures, and Ugandan regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent; additional security training is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience as a Security Officer, preferably in a banking, corporate, or institutional setting in Uganda.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Uganda Police Force.
• Strong physical fitness and the ability to stand and patrol for extended periods.
• Excellent observational skills, integrity, and a high level of professionalism.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
