Job Description
Quality Chemical Industries Limited (QCIL), Uganda's leading pharmaceutical manufacturer, is seeking a qualified Technology Transfer Officer - Quality Control to join our dynamic team in Luzira, Kampala.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comparative dissolution studies for test and reference products to ensure pharmaceutical equivalence
• Perform cleaning validation for new products developed at Formulation Development
• Execute analytical method validations and verifications, compiling comprehensive reports
• Manage Analytical Method Transfer during product transition from development to manufacturing
• Carry out accelerated and long-term stability studies with detailed reporting
• Conduct impurity profiling of drug substances including identification and quantification
• Assist in developing analytical methods (spectroscopy, chromatography, dissolution)
• Support formulation development through experiments, analysis, and report preparation
• Execute biopharmaceutical characterization for drug product development
• Evaluate new analytical techniques in pre-formulation sciences and automated workflows
• Create and review specifications in SAP system
• Handle ERP/SAP for specification generation and Trackwise for deviations/complaints
• Prepare SOPs, FMECAs, protocols, and other assigned documents
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Science Technology (Chemistry) or related field
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Control within manufacturing or recognized laboratory
• Familiarity with GMP and ICH guidelines
• Quality Management/Quality Assurance certification is an added advantage
• Proficiency in Excel formulas and PowerPoint presentations
• Experience with analytical tools (Pareto Chart, Waterfall, Pie Charts, etc.)
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and adherence to Quality Management Systems
• Ability to work shifts as per business requirements
